A Lasting Impression

January 5, 2021

  1. At 10, I was dragged to an art gallery, 20 minutes away from my grandma’s house in St Leonard, France.

My dealings with art consisted of painting princesses with puffy sleeves on the dining room table with my mum (great memories).

I walked through the entrance unenthused, only to be captivated by Paul Rebeyrolles’s work. I spent hours in that gallery studying the textures and colours that Rebeyrolle had used to create such magnificent work.

Today I’ve started experimenting with textures and feel just as excited as I did at 10, looking at Rebeyrolle’s work. Great feeling.
