“Creativity takes courage. He who loves, flies, runs, and rejoices; he is free and nothing holds him back. Impressionism is the newspaper of the soul.” Henri Matisse

Our mission is to help children and adults realise their artistic potential and acquire skills to start a new career or a much-loved hobby with confidence.

Founder Jennifer Elson talks about her journey to becoming an artist. “From a very early age, it was apparent that my passion for the arts didn’t match up with mainstream schooling. When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would always say an artist. The response would be, more often than not, that’s lovely, but you’ll need a proper job to prop it up. There were plenty of creatives in my family but nobody had pursued their passion as a career.

Fast forward 30 years, and I found myself doing jobs that were not my fit. Helping individuals make their ambitions come to light started to get me thinking if I can do this for other people, why on earth can’t I do this for myself.

Taking the plunge headfirst into becoming a full-time artist was the best decision I’ve ever made. There is no better feeling than waking up in the morning and being creative.

I hope that telling my story and passing on my knowledge will give others the courage to pursue their passions and find their right fit.”
